The Business Case of Industrial Transitions

On 1st december 2025, the Club of Rome EU-Chapter organises a discussion on the EU proposal for a revised Waste Framework Directive. What are the opportunities & risks from a business perspective? From the European Commission, Aurel Ciobanu-Dordea, Director for Circular Economy, will introduce the proposal. Two industry representatives will share their reflections and kick-off a discussion with the audience: Francesca Stevens, Secretary General at Europen and Karl Vrancken, Chief Sustainability officer at Indaver. The debate will be moderated by CoR-EU President Karl Falkenberg. The event takes place at the Residence Palace in Brussels (Schumann area), from 18-20h, and is open to members and non-members of the CoR-EU Chapter.
