2. Advocates for the most promising policies at the European Union level, engaging key decision-makers in the public and private sectors as well as in civil society and academia
3. Connects the Club of Rome and its National Chapters with institutions of the European Union, and mobilises their as well as its own members.
4. Convenes actors from all sectors of society in a multi-stakeholder forum to identify catalytic political, social, and technological pathways towards the achievement of the vision of the Club of Rome.

Our Activities

The Club of Rome EU-Chapter has different formats for activities, with different purposes and/or audiences.
Successful formats so far that will be continued are:
Aurelio Peccei Lectures: A public keynote speech from an authoritative speaker.
Conversation Tables: Small-group discussions (maximum circa 20 participants), on specific topics, participation is in principle limited to Members only. It takes place usually with dinner that participants pay for.
Beau Lieu Cafés: High-level talk shows with live music at an attractive location in the Brussels’ Schuman area, attracting around 100 participants. Their purpose is agenda-setting, triggering high-level debates, and offering a place for networking on
sustainability and environmental policies and implementation. The Beau Lieu Cafés are open to everyone and are livestreamed.
Occasional lectures/discussions: Additional public discussions or lectures can be held in a flexible manner. This kind of events is open to the public.

Web conferences: Online conferences that offer our members a platform to engage and interact with diverse stakeholders and decision makers through the exchange of information, intelligence, practices, experiences and practical solutions. Such conferences (and the livestream of the Beau Lieu Café) have the advantage for CoR-EU members not living in or around Brussels to contribute and follow what is happening.
Reports to the Club of Rome EU Chapter: This refers to the publication of reports commissioned by the CoR-EU. Reports go through a peer review process to be accepted as a series.
Special events on members’ publications: This refers to events celebrating publications by the members (e.g., articles in newspapers and other medias, policy journals, academic journals, and books).
